Hailing from the UK, The Ting Tings comprise of Jules De Martino (on drums, guitar, vocals and piano) and Kate White (vocals, guitar, bass drums and bass guitar). Established in December 2007, the band’s debut album “We Started Nothing” was released on 19 May 2008 and broke out hits such as “That’s Not My Name”, “Great DJ” and “Shut Up and Let Me Go”. Due to their formidable musicianship and attention-winning stage antics, they have often been nominated for various awards. The Ting Tings have also won awards such as “Best UK Video” for “Shut Up and Let Me Go” at the MTV Video Music Awards 2008, “Xfm Live Breakthrough Act” at Vodafone Live Music Awards 2008, and “Festival Pop Act”, “Best Newcomer Awards”, “Anthem of the Summer” at the UK Festival Awards 2008. This 2009, they won the “Ivor Novello Awards 2009” and “Border Breakers Award”.
The Ting Tings will be performing at Axis Jakarta International Soulnation Festival 2009 on 30 October 2009 as SPECIAL SHOW
