A Grammy nominee, he was the recipient of awards from IAJNE, NAJE, ASCAP and RMA. The line-up of musicians with whom he has jammed with is extremely diverse, starting from George Benson, Ricki Lee Jones to Marvin Gaye. At Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival 2008 and 2009, Ron King performed a number of times to a full audience.
